Confirm the Product and Supporting Surface

PET acoustic panel installation starts with the exact model and its current instructions. A method that works for one board, finish or substrate may not suit another. Confirm whether the application is a wall, ceiling or suspended arrangement before planning materials and access.

1. Inspect and Document the Substrate

Record the surface type, condition, flatness and any existing finish. Resolve dampness, loose coatings or unsupported areas with the responsible project team. Confirm the proposed fixing’s compatibility rather than assuming an adhesive bonds to every painted wall.

2. Set Out the Layout

Mark reference lines, panel joints, openings and exposed edges. Check the actual dimensions before cutting. Coordinate switches, outlets, access panels and services, and confirm who approves the final setting-out drawing.

3. Agree the Fixing Detail

Use the supplier-approved detail for the panel and location. Obtain the relevant adhesive or mechanical-fixing instructions and required supporting structure. Overhead work needs an approved installation approach; a wall photograph is not a ceiling fixing specification.

4. Prepare Cuts and Edges

Follow the permitted cutting method and work practices for the supplied product. Trial a visible edge on a spare piece where appropriate and check the accepted finish. Do not invent universal tool settings, fastener spacing or curing times.

5. Inspect and Handover

Check alignment, joints, secure fixing, service access and the agreed appearance. Record remaining defects and give the operator the approved cleaning information and product documents.
